New Page Type Templates (2024-25)/Efforts

From Salish Sea Wiki

This page provides all materials for development of the Effort Template and migration of existing workgroups.

Assumptions

  • Association of workgroups will be through the acronym field and will happen using Category:Acronym
  • All other field values are default or derived from page categories, using similar methods as for Products.

Migration Instructions

There are 274 Standard Pages, and 18 Architecture or Content Pages. The only pages that use the Effort Category that are not in the template are the sub-categories.

  • Effort Name - derived from page name
  • Start Year - default is null; this will be manually added upon edit; not mandatory
  • Milestone Year - default is null; this will be manually added upon edit; not mandatory
  • End Year - default is null; this will be manually added upon edit; not mandatory
  • Architecture - 3 values: Standard, Architecture Page, Content Page. based on category, default is "Standard" for 266... 18 have a category already
  • Effort Type - based on category tree under Category:Effort
  • Effort Credit - This uses Category:Acronym. Where a category within the acronym category is found, then use the category name as a value within the List of String. Later we can do manual QAQC and tie this to the Acronym Field in the Workgroup Table.
  • Jurisdictions - based on category tree under Category:Ecosystem Topics
  • Places - based on category tree under Category:Place
  • Workgroups - based on category tree under Category:Workgroup
  • AnthroTopics - based on category tree under Category:Anthropogenic Topics
  • EcoTopics - based on category tree under Category:Ecosystem Topics
