Social Change is a overarching category of Efforts which aims to achieve stewardship through social mechanisms. It is distinct from Knowledge Creation in that Social Change efforts aim to organize and apply knowledge to change the social-ecological systems. Advocacy uses information to change opinion, while Education aims for impowerment. Coordination efforts aim to create information share, coordination and collaboration, while Planning creates shared Products that memorialize the intention to do something. In the end Funding uses market forces to finanace action, and Legislation is a particular kind of effort that creates the Legal context that drives a wide range of efforts. Integrated Ecosystem Management is the reintegration of effort in a local setting, where a wide range of needs and values are achieved.
