Geophysics

From Salish Sea Wiki

Geophysics is an Ecosystem Topic that encompasses the physical processes of the earth, distinct from Biology, although biological structures can mediate physical processes (as with Wood in Streams.) At the microscopic scale Chemistry is the physical process that governs physical systems. At the largest scale Climate drives temperature and drops water onto land, resulting in Hydrology as water flows downhill. Geomorphology describes this interaction of water and land to create Landforms. Each Landform is defined by a set of Ecosystem Processes. There are many other aspects to geophysics
