The [central Puget Sound] region comes together at PSRC to make decisions about transportation, growth management and economic development. PSRC develops policies and coordinates decisions about regional growth, transportation and economic development planning within King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties. PSRC is composed of over 80 jurisdictions, including all four counties, cities and towns, ports, state and local transportation agencies and tribal governments within the region.
Notes
- Coordination at PSRC results in transportation planning that leads to federal grants from Department of Transportation including the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This federal subsidy is a driver for regional development.
