Monitoring is a type of Research that is focused on observing change over time within a single place. The purposes of monitoring have been somewhat standardized in relation to Restoration as: 1) compliance or verification, or 2) effectiveness. Monitoring may related to Adaptive Management. Monitoring is currently used to label products and efforts.
