Johannessen, J. W., J. Waggoner. 2008. Physical monitoring / beach profiling. Lummi Shore Road Project: Summer 2008, Year 10 Monitoring. Prepared for: Lummi Indian Business Council: Jeremy Freimund. Coastal Geologic Services, Inc.
Notes
- Results of a 10-year monitoring project assessing the efficacy of multiple years of nourishment in front of a long rock revetment along Lummi Shore Road.
- Nourishment was ultimately abandoned from this site because the impact of the armor on habitat conditions was too much for nourishment to compensate for. Despite the large volumes of nourishment and repeated nourishment attempts, beach habitat conditions continued to degrade after the revetment was built."
