Adopt A Stream Foundation was established in 1985 by Tom Murdoch while he was working at Snohomish County. In 2024 they had a nine-person board, and Tom remains the Executive with a seven person staff. Along with contract associates they complete Restoration and Education projects. They operate out of the NW Stream Center, on North Creek in South Snohomish County
