EPA hired Environmental Science Associates to evaluate and provide recommendations on the use of high-resolution land cover data.

Notes

• Compared 2017 High Resolution Aerial Imagery Change Detection to 2021 [[Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP).
• Completed side-by-side land cover results at multiple sites in three counties.
• WDFW includes canopy height. Strongest for ecological monitoring and canopy related assessments.
• C-CAP has more limited cover types, and was strong in urban areas. Good for hydrologic assessments.
• Partnership could help both products.
• Accessibility is important.
