This effort in the Lower Skykomish River Floodplain included a variety of actions to prevent further development around Haskell Slough, increase water flow through the slough, and protect surrounding farm fields from coarse river flood deposition. This initial work involved collaboration between NW Chinook Recovery, Long Live the Kings, Trout Unlimited's Monroe Chapter, and the Tulalip Tribes.
