The National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP) is a federal initiative managed by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to collect aerial imagery during the growing season across the contiguous USA. Established in 2003, NAIP provides high-resolution, orthorectified imagery to support land use planning, Watershed assessment, habitat Restoration, and monitoring Agriculture. The program aids Coastal Management, Hydrology studies, and Geomorphology analysis, benefiting agencies involved in ecosystem-based management and conservation planning. NAIP imagery is widely used in GIS mapping, habitat classification, and watershed processes assessment, supporting initiatives in estuaries, riparian corridors, and Wetland conservation across various ecoregions.
