NMFS is a line office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NMFS has both national offices, and four regional offices, as well as 5 regional fishery science centers. The service implements the Magnuson Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, the Endangered Species Act, and negotiate and regulate Fishery Harvest. They have key regional Funding programs including the Pacific Coast Salmon Recovery Fund (PCSRF) and the NOAA Restoration Center which also assists in Natural Resource Damage Assessment.
