Developed by McElhany et al 2000, these four parameters are used to evaluate impacts to salmon populations when conducting consultations under the Endangered Species Act. In this way they provide a direct linkage between concepts that can be evaluated in the field using the scientific method, and the implementation of protections within our Regulation and Mitigation Systems.
