The Puyallup-White River Watershed is mostly in Pierce County, and includes a single Puyallup-White River Local Integrating Organization as well as its own Puyallup and Chambers Watershed Lead Entity both of which operate under the Puyallup Watershed Council, sponsored by Pierce County with many of the same key participants.

The watershed is the usual and accustomed territory of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe and The Puyallup Tribe of Indians.

The Puyallup combines the flows of the White, Carbon, and Puyallup rivers. Rapid development of Floodplain led to the development of the Floodplains for the Future program. The Puyallup River Delta is largely developed by the Port of Tacoma.
