Local Jurisdictions including Cities, Counties and Tribes are increasingly completing planning exercises to evaluate the potential effects of climate change, and how Infrastructure investments can shift to increase resilience. Climate change planning was incorporated into Growth Management Act planning through HB 1181 (2023). Meanwhile State and Federal agencies also produce various analyses and guidelines to support climate change resilience. Climate planning may increasingly drive integration of planning silos through concepts like Integrated Floodplain Management or Integrated Riverscape Management.
