Terrell Creek Watershed is located in Whatcom County and drains to Birch Bay, where it forms a long barrier lagoon. It supports Steelhead, Chum, Coho and Cutthroat Trout. A series of restoration efforts in the watershed have removed all fish barriers and have resulted in extensive restoration installations.
Notes
- The Terrell Lake Reserve (WDFW), Cherry Point Refinery and Birch Bay State Park account for approximately half the salmonid habitat in the watershed.
- Chums for Terrell Creek is a local community group organizing for salmon recovery and clean water.
- Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association has been active in restoration, and has a Students for Salmon program.
