The Teekalet Convergence is a historical spit, located on the west side of the entrance to the Port Gamble Ecosystem. It is located at the terminus of two drift cells: SPU 2002 and SPU 2071
Notes[edit]
- Teekalet Point is at the terminus of the 29 km long drift cell SPU 2002. Due to the long length, and our weak understanding of beach sediment dynamics effort at the drift cell scale may or may not have effects on the point depending on proximity of the action to Teekalet.
- Teekalet Point is the location of the historical Port Gamble Mill, which is the subject of a Puget Sound Initiative Site Cleanup.
- Estuary and Salmon Restoration Program Application (2014)- proposes acquisition and restoration planning on a portion of the mill site.
