Rocky headlands (containing pocket beaches) are found in the San Juans, along The Strait of Juan de Fuca, and along the Seattle fault where rock formations are exposed to Puget Sound

The South Lummi Island Headlands located between (SPU 7111 and SPU 7112) is an area of rocky platforms and plunging rocky shoreline along the south and south east shoreline of Lummi Island.
