The Dry Meadow is a south facing field edge upstream of railroad camp

Notes

  • In approx 2022 the site was cleared of blackberry and scots broom.
  • Planting in 22-23 and another in 23-24 had extremely high mortality. Primarily shore pine survived.
  • The site has been colonized by Eurasian dry grasses, increasing competition for moiture and introduced blackberry is returning.
  • Soils are mapped as Pilchuck Sands.
