Quilcene Bay is a large shallow inlet which includes the mouths of the Big Quilcene Watershed, Little Quilcene Watershed, and Donovan Creek. A series of restoration projects led by Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group has almost completely restored tidal inundation to the bay, with levee removal at the Town of Quilcene being the last phase of work.

Notes

• Restoration if sediment distribution has been challenging due to aquaculture operations which require clean water intake.
• The Big Quilcene is a very steep drainage, and extensive sediment transport between levees has resulted in a rapidly prograding delta. HCSEG pioneered "delta cone removal" as a restoration action at this site to reverse these effects.
