Restructuring this page 15 Dec 2014
- I added new information from Hood 2015, and attempted to simplify and separate concepts into shorter paragraphs. I reduced several sentences that describe the use of marsh islands as an analysis unit into a single suggestion. I am thinking that we might need to reconsider the structures/processes division of this article and others. I suspect it reduces readability by segregating interrelated ideas, and thereby introduces redundancy.
- I started restructuring the page, and got rid of the process/structure split. This exposed significant redundancy. This page needs some work, but will become much shorter as a result.
- Pcereghino (talk) 18:54, 3 June 2024 (UTC) - This is a good example of a page that is written like a encyclopedia rather than a information exchange. It presents detailed information on every related topic, rather than referencing other pages. For example, it explains tidal datum rather than linking. It goes into river delta restoration which could be another page. I went through consistent with the Style Guide and shifted to a section and bullet model, which allows for much easier participation in writing.
