- Identifies five strategies for counties to increase farmland protection: identify all viable farmland as agricultural zone, increase lot size and narrow allowable use in farm zones, purchase or secure development rights for critical blocks, provide property tax relief for qualifying farmland, and provide economic and regulatory assistance to farmers.
