Vegetation[edit | reply | new]

  • Funding will support observation of dieback and recruitment. Give some example of how a rigorous understanding the post restoration recruitment phase provides useful information for capital project work.

Hydrology[edit | reply | new]

  • What kind of information will be provided over a 2 year observation period as compared to a longer observation period?

Elevation and Sediment[edit | reply | new]

  • You have not identified the location of the 8 SET installations. How will the location of SETs be identified to maximize the ability to 1) represent net import of material compared to reorganization of material on site, and 2) to characterize the processes that are affecting sediment deposition rate on the site.
  • What is the problem with sediment in this system? What are you worried about?

Policy Impact[edit | reply | new]

  • The proposal states that post breach monitoring "will be a major contribution to rigorously evaluating the efficacy of estuary restoration". Why is rigorous evaluation required for this site and action? Please present some scenarios where information developed at this site affects selection or design of future sites in the Snohomish.
