The Action Agenda is a document that presents the coordination efforts of the Puget Sound Partnership. It is required under RCW 90.71 Puget Sound Water Quality Protection as defined in 2007. It has become the focus of the EPA National Estuary Program, as the Partnership is defined as the National Estuary Program responsible for Puget Sound.

Notes
- Revision of the action agenda has required submission and some kind review of Near Term Actions.
- While it does not direct funding, identification in the Action Agenda may affect funding decisions of agencies.
- The 2014-2015 action agenda contains some 700 pages. Revision and narrowing of the action agenda to reflect regional planning, and adopted puget sound vital signs, has become a focus of the 2016 revision.
- There are two pathways for a near term action to become part of the action agenda: 1) through the deliberations of a Local Integrating Organization or 2) through regional proposal submissions reviewed by a regional technical team and other stakeholders.
