The formatting of a page is controlled by including a template code at the beginning of text. These template codes are not visible in the displayed page, but affect color, add information boxes, and automatically add categories to a page. You get to see a list of these codes every time you edit a page.
Human Systems Pages[edit]
The following templates are used for pages that describe people and thier activities:
- {{workgroup}} - pages that describe a group of people who work together over time for a shared goal.
- {{effort}} - an action of a workgroup, such as programmatic activity, capital projects, or stewardship
- {{topic}} - a description of some subject or topic that presents evidence and theories
- {{resource}} - a tool, technology, or information resource that could be useful to others
- {{product}}[[category:document]] - a description of a publication, either uploaded and on-wiki, or linked to and off-wiki
- {{place}} - description of a location in the landscape that does not conform to our ecosystem framework
Ecosystem Pages[edit]
The following templates are used for pages that describe a standard ecosystem unit:
- {{headwatersite}} - a watershed management unit in the highland portions of Puget Sound.
- {{watershedsite}} - a watershed management unit tributary to a floodplain, or a coastal shoreline or inlet process unit watershed.
- {{floodplainsite}} - a floodplain unit with divisions generally based on local planning.
- {{deltasite}} - a delta process unit assocaited with a major river mouth
- {{embaymentsite}} - a coastal inlet or barrier-type embayment along the shoreline
- {{beachsite}} - a shoreline process unit including bluff-backed beach
- {{headlandsite}} - a shoreline process unit dominated by rocky shoreline landforms
