This effort aims to develop a parcel based assessment of priority farmland protection acquisitions based on quality of farmland and risk of subdivision and development. The anticipated tools may include farm easement acquisition, TDR and PDR. A local profile that balances agricultural protection criteria will be developed in consultation with agricultural stakeholders, faciliated by the Snohomish Conservation District and PCC Farmland Trust, who is using methods developed for the Pierce County Agriculture Roundtable.
