Effort pages describe a specific body of work, which has a beginning, and end, a defined purpose and specific work products. Effort pages are maintained by workgroups.

Format

While the overall structure of an effort page is developed by that workgroup, we require a concise summary should be posted at the beginning of each page, conforming to the following outline:

  • Objective - An abstract desribing the intent of the effort, with links to the appropriate topics or objectives. The purpose should define a specific outcome of the investigation, rather than listing activities.
  • Workgroup - A bulleted list of the principal partners with email links to the primary investigators.
  • Status- A concise description of the progress made in the effort including the seasons and locations of successful data collection.
  • Products - A bulleted list of links to critical documents that provide information about the effort. This could include links to documents within the wiki, or external links to effort websites or peer reviewed abstracts.

Beyond this initial content, the workgroup may include any text or images they like to the page.
