A conversation between the Latino Educational Training Institute, Edmonds College, Snohomish Conservation District and NOAA Restoration Center led to funding and development of a bi-lingual one-year certification in restoration practice, with the goal of making participation in the restoration industry more accessible to Spanish-speaking students whom are underrepresented in restoration and the sciences.
